dry roast brown rice. transfer the roasted ingredients to a wide plate dry roast red rice while dry roasting pearl millet you will get a good aroma and one or two will start turning white dry roast the ragi little by little allow the roasted ingredients to cool down in a wide vessel . mix the ingredients together once they cool down completely this is sukku (dry ginger) , this will give you a good flavor and aroma to the malt mix. peel the outer skin of the dry ginger and add it .
grind it into a fine powder in the mill. if grinding mill is not available then grind it in a blender jar and sieve it well. add two spoons of the malt powder (serves 2) add 2 glass of water and mix it well . make sure that there are no lumps boil it. stir it continuously so that it doesn't stick to the bottom of the pan
