how to stay on a diet when your sick

how to stay on a diet when your sick

i haven't been sick, like full blown sick,in over three years. today i'm going to tell you how to make that happen. i get it. getting sick sucks. it reallysucks. the truth is, i really haven't been sick in over three years. yes, i have gone through phases where i felt my body fighting somethingoff. but i haven't been full blown sick,

how to stay on a diet when your sick, that has taken me down fordays or weeks, in a really long time. zac, my husband, has. today i want to share with you, what i do when i start to feel something coming on, so i can catch it before it gets out of hand. the first thing you have to do, is beaware. one thing i teach in the wildly alive

weight loss program is how tostep outside of your automatic behaviors and become aware of what'sgoing on in your body and mind. you have learn to be aware that yourbody is feeling a little off, or it's not feeling 100%. for me, i know that wheni wake up and i have a scratchy throat, or i'm feeling a little morefatigued than usual, it usually means that i was exposed to something and i need to start building my immune system asap. before i get intomy immune boosting tools, i want to make sure that you understand the key is to catch it before it gets really bad. this is where you haveto start taking action the day that you

start feeling a scratchy throat. don't wait until you're already starting to cough or blow your nose, then it's already moved into that second phase. i'm not saying these tools won'thelp, but you really want to catch it before it gets really bad. youhave to take action right away. here's some things that i do.i increase my garlic intake. zac loves that! garlic has been shown to boost your immune system. i eat roasted garlic or i will get some raw garlic. my grocery store sells a supplement called cold snap. it's an herbal supplement to help you boost your immune system. i take 3 capsules, 3 times a day until my body is back to

feeling 100% again -- not 80%, not 90%, but when i'm back to 100%. i've made that mistake before! i drink lots of water andeat nutrient-dense foods. i cut out things like alcohol and coffee. sorry guys, but coffee is not good for your immune system. i love coffee as muchas you do, but i really try to avoid it or cut back by having a smaller cup of coffee instead of a huge cup of coffee. i eat more nutrient-dense foods. i don'tdeny myself foods, because you have to remember that food is fuel. you often have a bigger appetite when you're fighting off something. thats totally normal and telling yourself that you can't eat will weaken your immune system. you have to give it the fuel it needs to fight off

whatever its fighting off. avoid intense exercise. again, you really are trying to nurture your immune system. although high intensity exercise is great, there are times when its not so great, likewhen you're tired, stressed, or fighting something off. instead, i'll dothings like walking, yoga or swimming. this is a more gentle approach to movement.another little concoction i make in the kitchen that helps boost yourimmune system is lemon, ginger and cayenne pepper. i suggest you squeeze a few lemons into a glass, ground a little ginger and add some cayennepepper (the more, the better). take a shot of that. it's called dragon juice. it has kick, but i'm telling you,

it totally boost your immune system like crazy. also, i turn to my essential oils. i have lots of essentialoils that have immune boosting components that you put on your feet or on your chest. there's a lot ofinformation out there about essential oils. last but not least -- and this is really important -- no drama! you cannot have any drama about how you are feeling. you need to empower your body with positive thoughts, mantras and affirmations. it's sofunny that i'm recording this video because just recently zac was reallyreally sick and he asked me, "do you want me to sleep in the spare room?" i waslike, "no. i'm going to boost

my immune system like crazy, and i'm not going to get sick." he was really sick. the key is that if you're around somebody who's sick, you can't be like "ew, get away from me," and putting purell on everything. you can't do that. you need to empoweryourself. you need to say, "i have an awesome body. i have a strong body. my body is so strong! my immune system is so strong. i'm not even worried about that." guess what happened? zac was sickfor two and a half weeks. he was super snotty and gross. i never got that sick. i felt a little something in my sinus' for a few days, but that was it! i'm telling you,the proof is in the pudding. this really works. you have to empower your body. you have to trust your body. and have those

positive thoughts and not assumethat you're just going to get sick. because if you fight it off yourself, thanyou actually are building your immune system for future viruses. right?before you go, i want to hear from you. is there something you do tohelp boost your immune system? i would love to hear it in the comments section below.and i want to make sure you've taken the wildly alive quiz. have you taken it yet?you can sign up on this video or in the links below. together, we willfigure out how you're shooting yourself in the foot when it comes to weight loss. because that sucks! and together we'll come up with wildly alive plan so i canshow you how to lose weight with
